RUN READY

Start running stronger
Stay running longer

Want to get into running but aren’t sure where to start?

Or maybe you’ve tried before, only to end up injured and back at square one.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

As a physiotherapist, I regularly see people who are motivated to start running but struggle to stay consistent because their body simply isn’t prepared for the demands of running.

That’s why I created Run Ready.

What is Run Ready?

Run Ready is a 6-week, physiotherapist-led program designed to help you become stronger, more confident and physically prepared for running.

Across two sessions each week, you’ll combine strength training, running education and practical coaching in a small group environment.

Throughout the 6 weeks, we’ll cover:

  • Strength training for runners – building the strength and capacity your body needs for running
  • Running progression – learning how to increase your running gradually and appropriately
  • Injury prevention – understanding how to reduce your risk of common running injuries
  • Recovery & load management – learning how to balance running, training and everyday life
  • Confidence to run – preparing you to confidently join a run club, start running independently or work towards your first event

The goal isn’t just to help you start running.

It’s to help you keep running.

Why Run Ready?

I noticed a common pattern within my clinic and the local running community.

People were excited to start running, but many were getting injured before they had built the strength and capacity their body needed.

Others were held back by thoughts like:

“I’m not fit enough.”

“I’m not strong enough.”

“I’m worried I’ll get injured again.”

“I don’t feel ready for a run club.”

You don’t need to already be a runner to start building the foundations of running.

That’s exactly what Run Ready is for.

Who is Run Ready for?

Run Ready is designed for people who want to run but need a little more guidance, confidence or preparation before doing it on their own.

It could be a great fit if you:

  • Are completely new to running
  • Are returning to running after an injury
  • Have repeatedly started and stopped running because of pain or injury
  • Want to build your strength and confidence before joining a run club
  • Are working towards your first race or running event
  • Want to understand how to train for running without constantly feeling like you’re getting injured

How does it work?

1. Start with a free discovery call

Everyone begins with a free 15-minute discovery call with Jess.

We’ll chat about:

  • Your current activity level
  • Your previous injuries or niggles
  • Your running goals
  • What you’re currently doing
  • Whether Run Ready is the right fit for you

For some people, individual physiotherapy may be the best place to start. Others will be ready to jump straight into Run Ready.

2. Train in a small group

Once accepted into the program, you’ll join a group of up to six participants.

This means you get the motivation and accountability of training alongside others, while still receiving plenty of individual guidance from a physiotherapist.

3. Build your running foundations

Over 6 weeks, you’ll develop the strength, knowledge and confidence to start running – or get back to running – with a better understanding of how to look after your body along the way.

What makes Run Ready different?

Run Ready isn’t simply a running group.

And it isn’t traditional physiotherapy either.

It sits somewhere in between.

You’ll learn how to prepare your body for running, how to manage your training and how to respond when things don’t go perfectly.

Because becoming a better runner isn’t just about running more.

It’s about building a body that is ready for the demands of running.
