Transcend Health Cancellation Policy

Your physiotherapist will outline a recommended action plan as the best plan for your injury, pain, or condition. You will achieve the maximum and best outcome when you keep your prescribed plan to its schedule. We have a long waiting list of patients trying to get appointments at Transcend Health and poorly timed cancellations prevent us from offering these appointments to those who are needing our care.

Privately funded client 

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment time for any reason, please contact Transcend Health on 4961 3399 and inform our team as soon as possible.

We will reschedule your appointment to a convenient time for you.  In the interest of adhering to your treatment plan, please reschedule to a time as close to the original appointment as possible.

Transcend Health reserves the right to charge a cancelation fee in accordance with the below Cancelation Policy.

Cancelation fee for 1-1 appointments = 50% of the total consult fee.

Cancelation fee for group sessions = 100% of the total class fee.

• All appointments, including group sessions, must be pre booked.
• Cancelation of all appointment types, including group sessions, must be made before 4:30pm the business day before your appointment is scheduled.
• Cancelation policy will be enforced for all cancelations that do not meet the above-mentioned deadline. The exceptions to this are:

1. Major personal illness or injury,
2. COVID related symptoms,
3. A family major illness, injury or death.

• Transcend Health will waive the Cancelation fee if your appointment is rescheduled before your next prescheduled appointment.
• In the event that you cancel your last prescheduled appointment Transcend Health will waive the cancelation fee if you reschedule that appointment

SIRA/Workcover/CTP funded services.

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment time for any reason, please contact Transcend Health on 4961 3399 and inform our team as soon as possible.

We will reschedule your appointment to a convenient time for you.  In the interest of adhering to your treatment plan, please reschedule to a time as close to the original appointment as possible.

Under the current SIRA/Workcover/CTP legislation ALL sessions that have not been attended by the patient cannot be billed to the insurer. In this instance we will reserve the right to charge you personally as per our cancelation policy below.

Transcend Health reserves the right to charge a cancelation fee in accordance with the below cancelation policy.

Cancelation fee for 1-1 appointments = 100% of the total consult fee.

Cancelation fee for group sessions = 100% of the total class fee.

Transcend Health reserves the right to charge a cancelation fee in accordance with the below cancelation policy. The below cancelation policy directly reflects the policy set out by the NDIS.

Cancelation fee of 100% of the total 1-1 consult fee

Cancelation fee of 100% of the total class fee for all group sessions.

• All appointments, including group sessions, must be pre booked.
• This policy will apply to Short notice cancelations of all appointment types, including group sessions.
• A cancellation is a short notice cancellation if the participant (you):

• does not show up for a scheduled support within a reasonable time, or is not present at the agreed place, and within a reasonable time, when the provider is travelling to deliver the support; or
• has given less than two (2) clear business days’ notice for a support that meets both of the following conditions:
• the support is less than 8 hours continuous duration; AND
• the agreed total price for the support is less than $1000; or
• has given less than five (5) clear business days’ notice for any other support.

• Cancelation policy will be enforced for all cancelations that do not meet the above-mentioned deadline. The exceptions to this are:

1. Major personal illness or injury,

Cancelation Policy: DVA

We will reschedule your appointment to a convenient time for you.  In the interest of adhering to your treatment plan, please reschedule to a time as close to the original appointment as possible.

The current DVA legislation allows providers to bill DVA for sessions that a patient has not attended. There are particular circumstances for this.

In this instance we will charge DVA the cancelation fee mentioned below.
In the instance that we cannot bill DVA for your missed appointment we reserve the right to charge you personally as per our cancelation policy below.

Depending on the provider legislation regarding your funding body sessions that have not been attended by the patient may in some instances be billed to the funding body. In this instance we will charge the funding body the cancelation fee mentioned below.
In the instance that we cannot bill the funding body for your missed appointment we reserve the right to charge you personally as per our cancelation policy below.
